2–4 October 2026 · Lucerne, Switzerland
Swiss Hackathon 2026
Swiss Hackathon 2026 brings talent, industry, research and technology partners together for three days of intensive work on real space, deep-tech and industrial challenges — the Orbital Infrastructure Challenge.
The format
Teams form around challenge statements contributed by industrial and institutional partners. Each challenge is real: it comes with a sponsor, a technical contact and a problem that the sponsoring organisation genuinely needs solved. Over three days teams move from problem framing to a working demonstration, supported by mentors from research and industry.
The event closes with a jury review and, for the strongest results, a structured follow-up discussion with the challenge owner.
Challenge themes
- Orbital infrastructure, servicing and operations.
- Space data, autonomy and applied AI.
- Life sciences and microgravity-enabled processes.
- Advanced manufacturing, materials and industrial deep-tech.
Who should take part
Students and doctoral researchers, engineers and developers, startup teams, and corporate innovation groups. Partner organisations join as challenge owners, mentors, jury members or sponsors.
