The Space Systems Innovation Platform (SSIP) and Space Innovation Canada (SIC) have formalised a strategic collaboration to develop shared pathways between the Canadian and Swiss space and deep-tech ecosystems.
The partnership focuses on microgravity research, orbital infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and industrial validation, enabling Swiss and Canadian organisations to access complementary capabilities, infrastructure and market entry channels on both sides of the Atlantic.
Under this framework, SSIP and SIC will jointly identify high-potential collaboration opportunities, connect research institutions with commercial partners and support the international scaling of dual-use technologies emerging from both ecosystems.
The initiative also opens Canadian access to the SSIP Digital Twin Service and to the Swiss industrial network in precision engineering, life sciences and advanced materials — while giving Swiss organisations structured access to Canadian orbital, robotics and Arctic-domain capabilities.
"Canada and Switzerland share a rigorous approach to engineering, research and long-term industrial trust. This partnership converts that alignment into concrete orbital pathways."
